Terms of Service

Last updated 1 November 2026 · Applies to the AIPlayerX apps for Android and iOS, the web viewer, and this website.

The short version. The app is a free download. Going live needs our servers, and that is what the subscription pays for: US$0.99 per month, billed by the app store, cancellable at any time. Before you pay, you get 90 minutes of live streaming to try, valid for 7 days.

1. Agreeing to these terms

By downloading, installing, or using AIPlayerX you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. If you use the app on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to accept these terms for it.

2. What the service is

AIPlayerX turns a phone into a camera you can watch from another device. Object detection runs locally on the sending phone. Video reaches the viewer over a direct connection when your network allows it, and through our relay server when it does not.

The service depends on your account, our signalling service, and, on some networks, our relay. It is not a security system, an alarm service, or a medical or safety monitoring product, and it must not be relied on for those purposes.

3. Your account

You need an account to use the app. Give accurate information and keep your password confidential.
You are responsible for activity under your account, including streams started from your devices.
You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to consent to data processing where you live.
You can delete your account at any time from the account screen. Section 9 explains what deletion does and does not do.

4. Price and subscription

Free download, free trial allowance

The app is free to download and install. Before you subscribe, you can put a device live and stream to a viewer for a total of 90 minutes, usable within 7 days of first going live. When that allowance is used up or the 7 days have passed, live streaming pauses until you subscribe.

Subscription

Price: US$0.99 per month, or the equivalent price shown in your local currency by the store at the point of purchase.
Billing: charged through Google Play or the App Store, depending on where you installed the app. The store, not AIPlayerX, processes the payment.
Renewal: the subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel before the renewal date. The store charges your payment method within 24 hours before each renewal.
Cancellation: cancel any time from your Google Play subscriptions or from Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on iOS. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the current period runs to its end and streaming continues until then.
Refunds: handled by the store under its own policy. We cannot issue refunds for store purchases ourselves.
Price changes: if the price changes, the store will ask you to confirm the new price before it applies to you.

The subscription is tied to the store account that bought it. It covers your AIPlayerX account on both Android and iOS when you sign in with the same account on each platform.

5. Acceptable use

You may use AIPlayerX to watch devices you own or are authorised to monitor. You must not:

Record or watch another person in a place where they have a reasonable expectation of privacy, or without the consent the law in your jurisdiction requires.
Use the service to harass, stalk, intimidate, or unlawfully surveil anyone.
Point a device at a space you do not control without informing the people who use it.
Reverse engineer, resell, sublicense, or provide the service to third parties as your own product, except as the law expressly permits.
Interfere with the service, attempt to bypass rate limits or entitlement checks, or use it to distribute malware or unlawful content.

You are solely responsible for complying with the recording and privacy laws that apply where you and the people you record are located. We may suspend an account we reasonably believe is being used to break the law or these terms.

6. Your content

You keep all rights to the video, audio, and clips you create with the app. You grant us only the limited licence needed to transmit a stream from your sending device to the viewer you choose, and to operate the account features you use. That licence ends when the stream ends.

We do not acquire a licence to your footage for any other purpose, and we do not use it to train models.

7. Our content

The app, this website, the detection models we ship, and the AIPlayerX name and logo belong to us or our licensors. These terms do not grant you any right to them beyond what is needed to use the app as intended.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service running, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. Streaming depends on your network, your devices, and your operating system, all of which are outside our control. We may change, improve, or retire features; if we make a change that materially reduces what your subscription provides, we will give reasonable notice and you may cancel.

9. Ending your use

You can stop using the app at any time and delete your account from the account screen. Deleting the account removes your account, registered devices, and sessions, and ends your access to the service. If you cannot open the app, our account deletion page explains how to ask us to do it instead.

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Subscriptions are held by the app store, so cancel them there as described in section 4. Otherwise the store will keep renewing a subscription that no longer gives you access to anything.

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, that we are required to act on by law, or that we reasonably believe puts the service or other users at risk. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why.

10. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that detection will identify every object, that a stream will never drop, or that the app will be free of defects.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law in your country.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for lost profits, lost data, or loss arising from events outside our reasonable control. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the AIPlayerX operating entity is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects your rights or your subscription, we will notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect, and you may cancel if you do not accept it.
